Chronicle of Ekan 1.0.3
Chronicle of Ekan is a console-style RPG for the Macintosh which focuses on storytelling over statistics.
The story is an intricately-woven tapestry of emotion, conflict, and symbolism. Taking place over a science fantasy backdrop, Chronicle of Ekan tells a tale of two warring countries, one capitalist and one communist. The main character's crises of conscience parallels this war -- which side is truly right?
Chronicle of Ekan features traditional RPG turn-based combat and a heavy emphasis on exploration. The interface is streamlined to be easy to learn, so that no instructions are needed to begin playing! Which magic spells can your characters use? Customize them with the innovative card magic system and decide for yourself!

Superb RPG! It is not a masterpiece like Final Fantasy III, but Chronicle of Ekan is very entertaining and well done!
Pros: Great graphics, intriguing story, and nice music. Cons: Bad animations (it was made with Hypercard!) |

I'm suprised I'm the only one who wants to give this game 5 joysticks. Not only did this game take a LONG time (I know the creator.) the story is great! Sometimes I wish the walking could be a bit faster, but overall, I'm suprised the game was accomplished in Hypercard. The characters are so-so on the graphics side, but the graphics are jaw-dropping. A must for any console RPG fan! |

If you don't mind the Hypercard-ish interface and are a fan of console-style, story-driven RPGs, this game's for you. It is surprisingly good, considering it was made in Hypercard. |

The graphics aren't great, there are typos, but all in all it's a good game. It's got it where it counts. |
