SimpleStrat 2.0.0
SimpleStrat is a simple hex based strategy game that is perfect for beginners to war games. You have four unit types: infantry, tanks, engineers, and artillery. You use your engineers to make other units which you use to explore a map and fight your opponent, who can be the computer, a local human, or somebody by email.

| Do not download...AI is abysmally slow, interface is horrible (no pathfinding), will not open saved games (gives array allocation errors), and difficulty level is either "piece of cake" or "all your units get killed the first turn" - nothing in between. I played loads better strategy games in 1994. |
