Curses
Curses is a text-based adventure game. The opening scene is set in the present day, at Meldrew Hall, an old family seat in the shires of England. You play the part of the current heir to the house. This doesn't make your family rich aristocrats--just people who suffer very badly from inheritance tax. You need to find your map of Paris so you can go on holiday, so try not to get diverted by any enormous quests. Still, it would be interesting to find out if those Tarot cards are accurate, what you have in common with sixth-century politics, what Greek myths have to do with this story, why your family is a tad more dysfunctional than normal, and if you should rescue someone who really doesn't want you to. To finally understand the secret, you will need to reach the Master Game, a concluding game-within-a-game buried deep in the past
