Shanghai: Second Dynasty 1.0
Shanghai: Second Dynasty, published by Activision includes a new game type, Windstorm, which requires you to match tiles that are free; however, the directions in which they can be removed shift according to "prevailing winds"--either north/south or east/west. It's an interesting new take on the classic Shanghai game, and, though not incredibly innovative (how can it be with such a simple concept?), adds a welcomed new dimension. There's also a new Dynasty mode that pits you against four opponents, human or AI, and the goal is to be the first to clear your set of tiles. In addition, there are the Classic version of Shanghai; Shanghai for Kids; Two-Player Shanghai (with three subvariations); and Power Dragon's Eye, in which the goal is to build a "Dragon" by constructing a shaped pile of tiles while your opponent attempts to remove them. Also included are Pandamonium, in which players scramble to remove tiles from the same board, and an Arcade mode, which pits you against the clock to clear 25 different tile layouts.
