Bolo 0.99.7a
Bolo was created by Stuart Cheshire of Stanford University. It has evolved from a little-known tank game on the BBC Micro to an explosively successful Macintosh game that is played constantly on the Internet, as well as many smaller networks. The author summarizes his work:
"Bolo is a 16 player graphical networked real-time multi-player tank battle game. It has elements of arcade-style shoot-em-up action, but for the serious players who play 12 hour games with 16 players working in teams in different networked computer clusters around an office or university campus, it becomes more of a strategy game. You have to play it to understand."
The graphics and controls are pretty simple, as is the objective... conquer all the bases and pills.

Classic Only
• Mac OS 7.6.1
• 256 Color Screen, 13" or Greater

Ok, it looked good in the beginning. But this came to be one of the most boring and iritating games I ever played, I shouldalso say meaningless. There is no perticular way to lose a game, and it is boring because it all comes to how you move one pixel here or there to avoid getting hit but to hit the oponent. I have more fun picking my teeth with a tooth pick then playing this game. At least I don´t get irritaded. |

I loved this game. Very hard to control for me though, so I played lame and just stuck to my position. Whatever works, right? =] |

A true classic that is still fun to play these days. When I first play Bolo (roughly 6 or 7 years ago) I was amazed at the great playcontrol and the fun that never got old. I still enjoy it today and play it as much as I can, when I'm not playing Myth II. |
