Red Faction 1.2 beta 3
Red Faction 1.2 includes a number of bug fixes and introduces the release of the carbonized OS X version of Red Faction.
Once you download the file, decompress it and put both applications into the Red Faction folder (you'll replace the old Red Faction application). Then drop "tables.vpp" into the Data folder. That's it! Run Red Faction and have fun.

This update should take care of the interface problem that occurred when trying to join games with user maps. This update will now inform players if they are unable to join a game, without creating problems with the interface. Players should be able to join a game by placing a copy of the levels VPP file into the user_maps multi folder.
