Full Description: Chex Quest was a total conversion for the original Doom that was distributed through specially marked packages of Chex cereal. All of the textures, weapons, monsters, items, etc... were changed to fit a theme that could be released in a cereal box, with the goal of creating a first person shooter that parents would allow their kids to play. Not only was there no killing involved in Chex Quest (that's right, no killing, the enemies are sent back to their own dimension) but there was also an educational value applied to the items. All health and armor items were replaced with bits of food and all sorts of balanced breakfasts. Chex Trek... beyond the quest aims to become a total conversion for Doom 3 that recreates the feel of the original Chex Quest game. Though the only level currently in the mod is a remake of the first level in Chex Quest, called The Landing, no other recreations will be made. All textures will be created to have a brighter happier mood, to fit what the constraints were for Chex Quest. Eventually, all monsters will be re-modelled to look like Chex Quest's counterparts, including weapons and character models. System Requirements: Doom3 retail release. Should work with slower G4 Macs as well as the faster G5's.
Fixes/Changes: (this can be used for new file versions to show what changed) Currently alpha release and only one map. Check out the web site and forum for latest news as and when newer releases are made.
