HexMapper 2.1
Sophisticated hex-base mapping application that lets the user create a high level map, and add details as needed, going from continents to tactical-scale views with one map. Set terrain, surface type, and elevation. Draw rivers, roads, and borders. Add labels and icons to multiple layers. Fully configurable map views. Special features like contour levels, automated "fractalization" of map data, elevation smoothing, and quick distance measurement tools.

Fixed several minor bugs. Added the ability to toggle the visibility of sub-hexes on and off.

Universal Binary (PPC/Intel)
Java 1.5

| Seems very powerful once you get going, but it's incredibly unintuitive, and I had to visit the publisher's website to even figure out how to make a map that isn't the default size (you can't). It feels like it was built to one person's impression of how mapping software should work, and it expects everybody else to learn it whether or not it's a good idea. |
