Marathon: Resurrection 2.0
After nearly seven full years in development, Team Unpfhorgiven is finally releasing what it set out to do long ago: a complete single and multi-player recreation of the original, legendary game, Marathon by Bungie Studios, as a free total conversion modification (Mod) for Unreal Tournament. Our goal was to bring a classic game into a modern engine, on a more universal platform that allows the re-telling of this fascinating story in a way that does justice to the original, but also allows us to give it an updated and unique flavour. We hope that it will appeal to the old Marathon fans looking to re-live some nostalgia and witness things they only dreamed of in the original engine, as well as new fans, looking to enjoy a classic in a new way. Thank you for playing Marathon:Resurrection and thank you for standing by our efforts.

Too many to enumerate them all.

Classic and Mac OS X
• A working copy of the original Unreal Tournament (patched to version 436, or version 436 from the Unreal Anthology)
• Any computer system that can run aforementioned copy of Unreal Tournament including, but not limited to computers that run Windows XP

A bit torn here, whether to give it five or one. By the time I got to map 5 or 6, one terminal refused to cough up its dialogue, another one froze me to the spot and I completely lost my patience when, with almost no health left, I died and had to go way back into the previous level. Beautiful mod gets 5. Mod which doesn't work gets 0. Help? |

After playing the marathon trilogy its really nice and cool to play the resurrection of it, probability one of the best gifts I've seen in a long time.
WARNING: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |

Surely a good effort, but to be honest: Playing the original with Aleph One is just more fun ;) |

This is a wonderful creation, worth installing UT again to play it. Brings back tons of memories even though it doesn't look like the original (I mean that in a good way, its not bitmaps and odd 3d fisheying hah). So if you have the time, download this and give it a whirl. Its a treat! |

It was worth the wait. Clearly a lot of hard work and attention to detail has gone into this mod.
OS X/Intel Mac users can play too, just follow the instructions at http://www.veloffdesigns.com/utmac/ to install Unreal Tournament without Classic, and download the zip (not umod) version of Marathon Resurrection. |
