PeaceMaker 1.0.63

PeaceMaker challenges you to succeed as a leader where others have failed. Experience the joy of winning the Nobel Prize or the agony of plunging the Middle East into disaster. PeaceMaker will test your skills, assumptions and prior knowledge. Play it and you will never read the news the same way again.

- PeaceMaker is inspired by real events in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
- Be a leader and win the Nobel Prize before your term in office ends.
- PeaceMaker is two games in one: play both the role of the Israeli Prime Minister or the Palestinian President.
- Play the news: how would you react to the events in the Middle East presented using real news footage and images?
- Depending on what you bring to the table, we have three difficulty levels to choose from including calm, tense and violent.

Guys, that's an awesome game! It is fun, it gives a good, well balanced view of the conflict, has a unique gaming experience, overall, a great game! Easily worth the 20 bucks I put into it - and much more. Usually after playing games for hours I sometimes feel I wasted my time - not here. I actually felt that I got something from it. And it is not that I am new to it, as I have been teaching about this conflict. But reading about it and experiencing it are two different things. And I really don't get those who rate the game low because the demo is too short. You don't like the demo - fine, but how can you judge the game to be lousy? First play, then rate. What's wrong with you?

I studied the isreali-palestinian conflict and I affirm this game has nothing to do with educational goal because it has a very simplistic view of the situation. Furthermore, demo is über-limited to 3 turns.

Thanks for making the demo available – once I saw the demo I didn’t hesitate and bought the game which proved to be even better than what you can see at the demo. The sophistication of the game, combined with the “real-life” images and videos are much more than news and video game put together. I’ve been following the mid-east conflict but this is the first time that after a few hours of play both my family and I felt that we experienced “first-hand” the challenges each side is facing and see the fragility of the situation. I wish there were more games like that…

demo made me pick up the full version of the game... as someone who didn't know much about the israeli / palestinian conflict, i found it to be really interesting how complex things are and how many sides need to be balanced. the game is almost more educational than entertainment, which is a refreshing change from other strategy games i've been playing lately. that said, it was still entertaining enough to keep me engaged as a player, and having both israeli and palestinian leaders was an interesting spin on replayability
Mac Games Rating Ming (4/10/2007 - version 1.0.4)
Demo is limited to 3 actions ! It is impossible to buy a game I can not test ! it is also impossible to write a decent review with just one-minute gaming. This is very frustrating. Impactgame should release a real demo and learn how software marketing works. Concept looks nice, graphics are neat, but : - real image of victims is not a good idea; - the game features a real conflict, but is unrealistic, and over simplified. This game could have been a great one, but need a lot of geopolitical upgrades; frankly, this concept should fit with a fictive conflict, not a real one, because it lacks information and complexity.
