This is an official update for The Sims 2 University. It will fully update any previous version of The Sims 2 University to version 1.1 Rev A. This patch provides Universal support for Sims 2 University and provides fixes for some minor issues.
1.1 Rev A changes:
- Adds native Intel support
- Fixes terrain camera tracking.
- Fixes a random crash after a baby is born

I have an Intel iMac and have recently installed Sims 2 University, and just patched it with this patch. It's caused no problems, the game is running well.
I'm not sure why this patch has received three negative reviews, as far as I can tell it's done what it was supposed to. Before it was running under PowerPC, now it is native (Universal).

I installed Sims 2 University on my MacBook. I then tried to install the patch. It told me that there was no need for the patch ("Product is already up to date"). However, I am still unable to play the game.

if you reinstall university then the update is not activated. it allows you to reinstall the update. if the update is installed it would say that it was already successfully installed.

Speed is increased, not dramatically, but it is increased, if running on an Intel-based Mac.
What you have to remember is after installing the update you must also reinstall University as Expansion pack data is deleted, but you will keep your Universal Update.
