Venture X is a game where your goal in life is to become the world's most powerful Venture capitalist. You plan to accomplish this goal by making shrewd business decisions. What company should you start? When should you start it, and where? Should you try for a hostile take over of a neighboring company? Merge with the competition? Should you try to increase profits by taking short cuts? What about the local community? Will there be consequences for such actions? These are just some of the tough decisions you will have to make in order to become the world's leading Venture capitalist!

Version 2.2:
• Save initial game setup. Save the starting setup, including the order in which the tiles will be drawn. Then replay the same game to see if you can beat your previous score. Or challenge a friend to see if they can beat your score for the same game. The number of corporations that can be formed in a game can now be limited from 4 to 7.

I haven't seen little strategy games like this around in a while, although I suppose it's possible I just haven't been looking. The gameplay is simple but there is a fair amount of satisfying strategy involved... I'd give it a higher rating if there weren't, ultimately, a pretty high dependence on luck of the draw, when it comes to where your property is placed. This can be annoying at times. |
