Tri 1.1
CAUTION: You're about to enter a Three-Spin Zone.
Goal: Capture targets with the Con-Tri-ption.
The Con-Tri-ption traverses a large, triangular game area by feeding a single loop of chain through a series of six gears: three large motorized gears attached to the Con-Tri-ption itself, and three small pulleys that slide along the boundary of the game area.
The player controls the motorized gears, causing each to spin clockwise, to spin counter-clockwise, or to stop spinning altogether. The twenty-seven combinations of spin and non-spin allow the Con-Tri-ption to move in twelve directions, to move at double-speed in six of those directions, or to idle in place (in three different ways).
Mastering the Con-Tri-ption makes for an exceptional challenge and countless hours of fun.
Features:
• A unique challenge to hand-eye coordination
• Accelerated game play with each level achieved, and ...
• Manual acceleration of game play: Set the game speed to "Normal", "Fast", "Faster", or "Maximum" at any time.
• Control settings for the left or right hand, on QWERTY or Dvorak keyboards
• Optional "Trinary" mode: Display points and scores in Base Three notation

• Customizable keys
• Multiple lives: a new Con-Tri-ption for every three levels completed
• Tri-riffic new look
• Minor bug fixes and graphics tweaks

Very interesting game mechanics, but assignable controls would be a godsend. |
