Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb 1.0

This is an interactive demo of the Mac OS X release of Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb. This adventure game tells the story of Rif the Fox and his journey to recover the ancient human relic called the Orb of Storms. Along the way Rif has to solve puzzles, bargain with other members of the various Morph tribes, and discover the scoundrel behind the theft. Fun for the whole family.

This is agreat ressurection of an Point& Click adventure classic. The Original Dates back to the days of AMIGA ATARI and Mac Performas. It let´s you play through the fairground and has some decent voice acting. Great thing!

I understand downloading such a large file and watching a movie is frustrating. But it's not a movie, it's the game intro. After several minutes, you can actually play! It looks like LucasArt SCUMM games. Seems interesting, but graphics and gameplay are really outdated. I won't spend 20 bucks (plus S&H, as it's not downloadable + European taxes) for it.

The game is excellent, though it was originally released ten years ago, so the graphics are dated, if you're worried about that. The demo here is just a movie though. It'll give you a feel for the backstory and the graphics style, worth downloading if you're thinking about buying the game and need a taste of its style. There is no gameplay in this demo though, it drops off right at the end of the intro, which is a waste of time for anyone looking to try the game itself. The actual game is not difficult, possible for younger kids to play, but designed with adults in mind as well. One of the best graphical adventures I ever played back in the day - I bought its re-release just to give it another run through, since the original no longer works well on modern machines, and reccomend it highly. The demo comes a bit less highly reccomended though. ;)
