Awesome and hilarious. Every bit of it is packed with goodness. I would love to see a full-length game based on the concept.

Awesome! The only thing that keeps me from getting totally addicted is the rate at which things get tough - too soon, that is. And I'm not all that shabby at these kinds of things, either. :)
Mac Games Rating The Madman (11/14/2004 - version Day 23)
It rocks ass! 304 K of pure alien-busting fun.

It may be short, but it's sweet. Shoot Things has a fast-pasted gameplay that makes it good for when your in the mood for just blasting away at aliens and stuff. It also has very high quality graphics for a vector game, coupled with a kickin' music track. It's also funny for some reason (the various arcade/video game references). 8 )
Mac Games Rating Riba (5/8/2004 - version Day 21)
...but you would be mistaken! :) No idea why it doesn't work on your setup, but no problems here (10.3.3 running on Cube 450 MHz/ Radeon 7500). The game is "suspiciously" small because it does not use bitmaps, but rather vector sprites as stated above, and those tak very little space. The appearance of this game is very refreshing, everything is drawn using vector objects (like some old arcade machines used to do), but the level of polish is suprisingly high, the effects are very nice, and there are some very amusing twists as the game progresses. This could be a great engine for a potentially amazing game if someone picks it up. The complete sources are included.
