RockNES 4.0

RockNES is a NES emulator for the Macintosh.

It is by far the most compatible NES emulator currently available for the Macintosh, given that it supports full PPU emulation, full sound emulation (including VRCVI sound, used by some Japanese games), battery backed RAM, Famicom DiskSystem, VS Unisystem, and some 69 different mappers. In addition, RockNES includes lots of different video modes, as well as the ability to load and save your game at any stage. You can even record movies of gameplay!

Mac Games Fixes and Changes

• Updated RockNES to be in sync with Fx3's new version for Win32. Note that RockNES now uses cycle exact emulation, and is several orders of magnitude slower than previous releases. If you do not have a machine of at least 1 GHz, I strongly advise you to stick with the previous version of RockNES.

USB gamepad support for RockNES IS free. Emulator Enhancer is a FREE download that does not require registration. Some people just don't know how to use their own computers I guess.

anyone complaining about the gamepad support, go download USB Overdrive

How about some USB gamepad support without paying $25 for Emulator Enhancer, huh? I can't play NES games without a gamepad, and for $25, I could buy an actual used NES to play on.
