| Is this what we've all been waiting for? A slow moving game with sound problems? And that's after the patch. Aspyr needs to fix this and quickly. |

Q without the A (8/20/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| Anyone remember how good Civ I and II were? Why are we going backwards? Why does a brand new game need a patch so soon? Why has it become acceptable to launch a game before it works properly? Why launch a patch that doesn't really work? Why not test games and patches before releasing them? Why should gamers put up with a substandard game, fostered with laziness and incompetence? Where's Sid? |

| Have to play the game without any sound, as this crackling is utterly annoying... Any fix please? |

David (8/7/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| Game performance is much improved but there is now an issue with individual units auto-stacking, at random time, during combat.... |

Mark (8/5/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| Stability and performance: much better.
Sound problems: unbearably worse. Digital "crackling" like crazy. Many sounds now missing entirely.
Was this dog of a patch even *tested* before being released? Ugh. |

Michael (8/4/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| This patch caused the sound issues to get worse instead of better. Wish the beta patch was still available |

Doug (8/1/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| Fixed some features, but loading screen now claims that the game requirements exceed my hardware -- new black MacBook with 1 Ghz ram. Game runs anyway though. |

| 40 MB download but the actual file is 14? Hello? |

Ian (7/31/2006 - version 1.61 Rev A) |
| Drastically improved gameplay - before it was moving really sluggishly.
Some problems with the sound still remain. |
