| I'm a huge fan of racing games and I really wanted to like this one. But the game feels only half finished. The steering via keyboard is bearable at best, but it becomes a total nightmare if you crash into objects or walls. I have repeatedly managed to crash into walls at such an angle that I could not move forwards or backwards. At all. And the graphics just aren't very good. I'm sure a lot of work went into the 3D engine, into weather fx, etc. and I'm fully aware that they don't have huge budgets to throw around, but some of the textures look downright amateurish. I'm not sure if there was even one real designer involved or if the gfx have been made by the programmers themselves. Just look at the textures for the lamps inside the tunnels, they look more like a mock up than a final texture. The textures on the skyscrapers are flat and boring and they did not even try to make the textures blend seamlessly (look at the edges of the track texture). |

| Very good game, very fun multiplayer. Well worth the price |

| This game is great - and it even runs well on low end hardware. It's fun too. The scenery looks pretty, and it's a blast to race around. The price is good for the wallet too - it fits into impulse buy territory.
This game doesn't warrant a five stick score for the following reasons. Firstly, and most importantly, no damage modelling. Carmageddon was an average game made exceptional because you could smash your car up. RedLine needs to compete against the likes of TIR, a unique selling point is required. Since no Mac OS X racing game does damage, damage could have been it.
Secondly, the car models aren't very good. The Mini, for example, looks like a Renault 4 from the side and from the back, and a caricature from the front. I have no idea what the Golf looks like! The choice of cars and tracks is limited too. More of both would be very nice. |

| The game looks fairly pretty, and the network play is fun. My only complaint is that the physics are seem a little stilted, though it may just be the poor handling of the demo cars. |

| I'm sure it will be good, and I love Ambrosia as much as the next guy, but how do they release a 184 meg file and NOT provide a torrent? |
