| Great sim, with a very realistic flight model. I have "flown" a lot different sims, and none of the other ones comes even close to this. Although you can find bugs in every single version out there, it's worth every penny.
For anyone looking to learn to fly the real things, the choice between X-Plane and Microsofts FS2004 is clear - just compare the Cessna 172 and the Robinson R22 beta flight models - it's like comparing a arcade game with a full motion simulator, since MS fails to simulate properly even the basic manouvers for proper learning... |

| Very good game... but I'd suggest buying the full version... they like to cut off your joystick/mouse control after 5 minutes... |

| It's never perfect! 7.41 has a lot to make aircraft look a whole lot better, 3d interiors are possible with a plugin, transparent parts, better ground effects, multiplayer, still a few problems. But seems more stable. |

| Great flightsim! Far more realistic than Microsoft Flight Simulator, and there are a ton of aircraft to download. Check out www.x-plane.org and www.xplanefreeware.net. While the graphics aren't as cool-looking as MSFS2004, the flight dynamics are much much better! For a good time, try landing a small plane in a huge thunder storm! Hehehe...
The version 7.40 betas have some annoying bugs in them (for example, torque effect is a bit exaggerated in beta 17), but they will hopefully be fixed before 7.40 final is released. |
