Zoo Tycoon 2 1.1
This application will update Mac Zoo Tycoon 2 version 1.0.1 to version 1.1, which includes Universal Binary support for the new Intel-based Macintoshes. This Updater is for the U.S. (ie, English) retail version of Zoo Tycoon 2 only.
Please note that:
• This updater may only be applied to version 1.0.1 of Zoo Tycoon 2. If you have version 1.0 of the game, please download and apply the 1.0.1 update first.
• In order to apply this update, you must be logged in as the user who originally installed the game.
If you're not logged in as the appropriate user, you may receive an error during the updating process, and your original Zoo Tycoon 2 software will remain unchanged. If necessary, quit this program now and re-log in as the appropriate user.
To perform the update, close this window and click the "Select Zoo Tycoon 2" button. Then, navigate your way to your Zoo Tycoon 2 file. Alternatively, you can just drag and drop your Zoo Tycoon 2 file onto this updater.

Version 1.0.1 - 5 January 2006
• PowerBook Trackpad crash fix. Recent model Apple PowerBooks with the new multi-touch Trackpad controllers would randomly crash due to a bug in the game's Carbon Event processing subsystem. This has been fixed.

| yes, you are correct... 19 files can't be patched on my copy either which means i can't fully update to 1.0.1 from 1.0.. and this means i cant run the 1.1 or 1.1.1 patches needed for universal binary support... HELP! |

| Solved, at last. Recent retail versions are ALREADY patched to version 1.1, which is why the iPatcher fixes won't work. However, v1.1 still crashes on some Intel Macs (e.g. MacBook). A later download, to version 1.1.1, is available here: http://www.destineerstudios.com/support/zt2.html

| Also getting error "You can't apply the Patch on this file!". Have tried installing under Leopard and Tiger, on PowerPC and Intel machines. Same message over and over, for both 1.0.1 and 1.1 upgrade pgms. AM definitely signed in as the same user, as I'm updating immediately following install. Has anyone solved this yet? Surely it must work for someone? |
